How Durmah works
Start with a question you want to understand. Use Durmah to organise your own reasoning, keep track of sources and decide what to practise next.
Durmah at a glance
- Who it is for
- Adults aged 18 and over studying UK law, whether at a university or independently, including LNAT preparation. Signing up asks you to confirm you are 18 or over.
- What it helps with
- Understanding legal ideas and cases, preparing for seminars, planning independent practice from a brief you are entitled to use, checking authorities, revision questions and keeping deadlines in UK time.
- What it will not do
- Write or complete assessed work, guarantee grades, give legal advice or decide what your course permits. AI can make mistakes, so check the primary source.
- How to start
- Continue with Google for a 14-day Full Access trial. No card is needed, the trial does not convert automatically and usage allowances apply. Start with one study question.
- Prices after the trial
- Full Access Monthly £29.90 per month, Full Access Annual £229.00 per year, or the LNAT Study Plan £39.00 one-off for 3 months. Monthly and annual plans renew until cancelled; the LNAT plan does not renew. The final total and any tax are shown in Stripe Checkout. Full pricing and renewal terms.
- Who runs it
- Durmah Learning Pte Ltd, registered in Singapore. Durmah is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any university. Independence statement · Contact us.
Free study guides: preparing for law seminars, planning a law assignment and checking an AI case citation.
1. Write what you think
Open the independent study workspace. Choose your study purpose and jurisdiction, then write your own explanation or argument. You can begin without uploading a course document or using a university email.
2. Keep authorities and questions together
Record the sources you need to check and the parts you do not yet understand. Read the primary authority and current course guidance yourself. A familiar case name, a citation or an AI response is not proof that a proposition is correct or current.
3. Reflect and download
Explain what changed in your reasoning and choose a next step. Download your notes before closing or refreshing the tab: the editor does not automatically save your writing to the cloud.
Your connected member workspace
- My Lectures: organise permitted lecture material, revisit ideas and build revision resources.
- My Assignments and Mark My Paper: plan your work and obtain diagnostic feedback on reasoning, structure and authority. You write and revise your own answer.
- Durmah Voice: practise explaining ideas and ask follow-up questions in a spoken conversation, within your voice allowance.
- Lexicon and study planning: connect vocabulary, modules, revision and deadlines.
Record the permissions for your task before using AI or uploading material. A declaration records your statement; it is not institutional approval. Your assessment instructions still apply. Open your member workspace or start student signup.
Current service availability
Live feature availability is loading. Your workspace remains the authority for feature-specific availability.
New purchases: see Pricing for current plans and checkout availability.
Saved work, downloads, privacy requests and cancellation controls remain separate. Service availability does not grant rights to material or override assessment rules. Processing and availability details.
How your materials fit in
The tutoring model works best with the minimum context needed for the question. Your own original explanation and factual topic list can often provide that context. Third-party documents need a rights check that covers the proposed storage and processing; a private account does not supply that permission. See practical material examples.
Know the boundaries before you begin
Durmah is independent from universities. Your current programme, module and assessment instructions determine permitted AI use. The responsible-study guide explains copyright, privacy, student rights and the safeguards still under review in one place.
