Durmah is an independent study service. Your university, programme, module and individual assessment instructions determine what AI use is permitted. Product descriptions, examples and feedback cannot override those rules.

Check permission first

Restrictions can apply to planning, research, editing, feedback and uploading material, even when you write the final answer yourself. If your intended use is prohibited or unclear, stop and ask your tutor. Do not enter assessed work into Durmah.

Independent practice

The independent writing workspace is available for your own reasoning, source notes and reflection. AI support, uploads and diagnostic feedback depend on current feature availability and the permissions for your task; a declaration alone does not certify institutional approval. Copyright, privacy and academic permission are separate questions. Our responsible-study guide explains why private access and retaining authorship do not settle all three.

Be accurate and transparent

Verify every legal authority and substantive AI claim against reliable primary sources. Follow applicable disclosure requirements. Rewriting output, remaining the author or acknowledging assistance does not make prohibited use acceptable. AI feedback and scores are not official marks or predictions.

Your institution's guidance

Consult your institution's current AI policy and your law school's guidance on its official student portal, alongside your programme, module and assessment instructions. Durmah does not claim to have verified permission under your institution's policy.

General university guidance does not replace specific law-school, module or assessment rules. If the instructions are unclear or conflicting, ask your course team before using AI for the affected task.
