Your data and your privacy

What is stored, what is deliberately never stored, and how to request deletion.

The things worth knowing:

  • Your essays, notes and feedback stay tied to your study account.
  • Raw voice audio is never stored. Voice conversations produce text turns, and only completed turns are retained.
  • Durmah refuses to store anything that looks like a secret.
  • Reflections you record privately against a lecture are private: never logged, never sent to the AI, never used for analytics.
  • Clearing your Durmah memory from the chat panel is immediate and thorough, and is separate from a formal deletion request.

Requesting deletion

From the privacy page in your account you can request deletion of your uploaded study data, your study workspace data, or your account-related application data. Each request goes into a reviewed queue with an audit trail, and you can add a message if there is anything the team should know.

The full position

The privacy policy is authoritative, with related detail in the student content policy and the university pack data governance policy. All three are public and linked from the footer of every page.

Ask Durmah — it knows this manual and can point you to the right section. If the manual itself is wrong, out of date or unclear, tell us and we will fix it. Documentation errors are treated as product bugs.

Durmah is an independent study platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of any university. Everything in this manual describes study support for legal education. It is not legal advice. Where this manual and your module handbook disagree, your module handbook is authoritative.
