University Context and Source Rights

Durmah is independent. University names, subjects and module references identify context and do not imply that a university supplied, reviewed or approved our materials.

Public availability is not a licence

Factual information about courses can help students organise their study. Publicly accessible handbooks, descriptions, slides and readings may still be protected by copyright or terms of use. Summarising a source does not automatically give permission for commercial reuse, copying, redistribution or processing with external AI.

Source review

We can support learning through independently written explanations of general concepts, original practice materials and factual topic references. A university does not own a legal doctrine merely because it teaches it. That distinction does not permit copying protected wording, illustrations or a protected selection of material. Before university-specific material is enabled for AI reuse, its source, rights basis, scope, jurisdiction, review date and limitations must be recorded. Unreviewed material is held out of the AI release path. We do not claim that the existing collection has all been licensed or independently verified.

Students' private uploads are not a substitute for a content licence and are not used to create shared university packs. Login-restricted teaching content, assessment material and recordings must not be imported merely because a student can access them.

Current course instructions prevail

Course structures, assessment instructions and AI rules can change. Check the original university source for your current academic year. An independent study outline is not the official syllabus and cannot determine permitted assessment use.
