Durmah is an independent study service. Your university, programme, module and individual assessment instructions determine what AI use is permitted. Product descriptions, examples and feedback cannot override those rules.

Check permission first

Restrictions can apply to planning, research, editing, feedback and uploading material, even when you write the final answer yourself. If your intended use is prohibited or unclear, stop and ask your tutor. Do not enter assessed work into Durmah.

Independent practice

The retained independent writing workspace is designed for your own reasoning, source notes and reflection; it is currently closed. External AI, new uploads and older assignment and review processing are paused. Any future release requires the relevant reviews and task permissions; a declaration alone does not certify institutional approval. See current availability.

Copyright, privacy and academic permission are separate questions. Our responsible-study guide explains why private access and retaining authorship do not settle all three.

Be accurate and transparent

Verify every legal authority and substantive AI claim against reliable primary sources. Follow applicable disclosure requirements. Rewriting output, remaining the author or acknowledging assistance does not make prohibited use acceptable. AI feedback and scores are not official marks or predictions.
